ron's Story
Lived in fort greene projects - went into the Army 4 months after grauation (Oct. 1963)/ 2 years/had a couple of jobs - then went to Wall St. 38 years - became a vice president in the Credit Dept./ did consulting work & then left Dec. 2005.
Married 46 years , 2 sons & 3 grandchildren. Played on the Boys High baseball team / back in 1963 made the team as a senior (pitcher) played some exhibition games then quit the team because I needed some coin. Mr. Speilman the baseball mgr. was pissed and ripped me apart in front of a classroom full of students (smuck). e Cortes & Bernard Ojeda. I was suppoe to go for a tryout for Balimore, but never did because my girlfriend at the time /lets say convinced me otherwise (jerk). My older brother Bob, played short stop with the great Tommy Davis ( 2 time MVP for Dodgers) Class of 56. My oldest son, Michael was a fabulous pitcher with Saint Peters (New Jersey) he should have went in the Draft/ became disillusioned & played for outside teams/ then quit (that hurt). Still have my 1963 yearbook in mint condition. Sad to say one of my best friends Kenneth Livingston passed away to young( 18 or 19) we both came from Fort Greene and graduated Boys in 1963.
