Ron's Story
Being born and growing up in Vancouver, I have always been interested in the history of the Lower Mainland and of B.C. We have lived in Richmond for 50+ years and after retiring, decided to do some research and writing. After two years I wrote and self published THE SOCKEYE SPECIAL: THE STORY OF THE STEVESTON TRAM AND EARLY LULU ISLAND.

chmond schools with a copy for their school library. The book is available at Black Bond Books or through the Sockeye Special website. As of May 1st, 2012, sales have passed the 500 mark.
I am also the Editor of the British Columbia Historical Federation Newsletter and should anyone have an interesting historical story with a picture or two, let me know as I may be able to use it in a forthcoming Newsletter. If you have something, please let me know.
