Ron's Story
I am a family man, married to Jean (Thomson) since June 12 1976, we have two daughters, Christie born 1979, Karli born 1981. I worked as a farm laborer, farm machinery dealership mechanic, drilling rig rough neck, plumbing and sheet metal,livestock brand inspector, livestock feed sales, and mostly farming with my brother Ross since 1973 in a grain and livestock operation. Baumgartner since 1975. Our daughters; Christie is a free lance writer in the film production business, resides in Edmonton AB; Karli is fourth year medical student and currently in Edmonton AB. Jean and I have enjoyed a good life here, in the Alameda district, raising our family, close to good friends. Farming has been a little tough at times, but we managed to make it this far and looking at semi retirement/retirement.
