One of Ron's favorite quotes is:"As Socrates said, 'The unexamined life is not worth living.' That applies to every aspect of your life. It's a good thing to keep your eyes open for opportunities to get more out of - or put more into - your business, relationships, hobbies, and other interests. It's not productive to continue working with things and systems that don't work, like keeping a dead-end job because it's convenient, or doing anything in life 'out of habit.' Staying firmly in the same old tracks will eventually grind you into a rut." Pat Croce
âWhere do babies come from? Don't bother asking adults. They lie like pigs. However, diligent independent research and hours of playground consultation have yielded fruitful, if tentative, results. There are several theories. Near as we can figure out, it has something to do with acting ridiculous in the dark. We believe it is similar to dogs when they act peculiar and ride each other. This is called "making love". Careful study of popular song lyrics, advertising catch-lines, TV sitcoms, movies, and T-Shirt inscriptions offers us significant clues as to its nature. Apparently it makes grown-ups insipid and insane. Some graffiti was once observed that said "sex is good". All available evidence, however, points to the contrary.â from Matt Groening's "Simpson's"
As always in life "You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't." from Matt Groening's "Simpson's"
"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back." words from Jenny Drake
"How silly to label people, let alone yourself. Like anyone else I'm sure, I'm a living contradiction: I'm an introverted extrovert, an intelligent dumbass, an eloquent stutte...Expand for more
rer, a perceptive blind person, etc. As Einstein well put: 'It's all relative'" by Michelle Renee Richard-Onken
""My life has been torn between frivolty and despair, between the desire to amuse and the desire to annoy, between dread-filled insomnia and a sense of my own goofiness. Just like you, I worry about love and sex and work and suffering and injustice and death ..." Matt Groening, creator of the "Simpsons" and "Futurama"
âWhen the authorities warn you of the dangers of having sex, there is an important lesson to be learned: do not have sex with the authorities.â Matt Groening
"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." Henry David Thoreau (whom died a virgin)
"No story sits by itself. Sometimes stories meet at corners and sometimes they cover one another completely, like stones beneath a river." Mitch Albom, from "The Five People You Meet In Heaven"
"...its the nature of our work. Broken-hearted, bored, and broke." stated Scott. Isn't it the truth, it is like the basics requirements of every wildlife job description? No matter where I go and what cool sights I behold or what interesting animal I work on, I always get bored! While on site I always crush on some girls whom break my heart. I always leave the job broke, mostly because of injuries or illnesses or a broken-heart. Welcome to wildlife! I return home in the winter to worry and toil and struggle to find my next job. (P.S. Must be the masochist in me, because I love it!)
"Boobs are dumb," Lead singer of Paramore at a concert in Springfield!
"Penises are ugly ..." firmly stated Jen when talking about guys and sex. "Yes," I agreed with a grin"... and so are vaginas," she added in her defense. "No, they are the greatest thing god ever designed, they are beautiful ..." I said, adding that maybe she wasn't straight or gay, maybe she was asexual.
"I wonder if you could suck a fart in there somehow" asked Steve about a whoopee cushion.
"... silly-putty ... ear ..." stated Steve when he got silly putty in his ear and went to the E.R. Sometimes innovation isn't good.
"They are like pajamas, only they open in the front" stated Don about the word 'vagamas' during a conversation on ole' fashioned butt-flapped long-underwear/footsy-pajamas.
"Oh, I just thought poor Margo" stated Christen after Margo unknowingly set on a whoopee cushion I cleverly hid making it appear to Christen that Margo ripped one.
"I smell like herps ... I wonder whose bed I was sleeping in!" stated Brian after a drunken night and waking up in someone's unoccupied room on the herp project.
"I hear a pooper" stated Don to either Brian, Steve, or I after a drunken night, not knowing that a bird group was at the house, to which Nick, the future birder, replied "I don't know how to respond to that".
"Everybody likes a compliment." A quote from Abe Lincoln, whom suffered from extreme, suicidal depression. Do not fear those with suicidal depression.
"Life's greatest happiness is to be convinced we are loved." - Victor Hugo".
