Ron's Story
Life
Lived in Methuen for 38 years. Spent my summers at Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH. Stephen Barker, Central, Methuen Junior and at last the High School. Hard to believe that we were the first graduation class out of the new Methuen High School class of 1976. I remember reading that it cost 13 million to build the school. Now I read an article where it will cost 13 million just in renovations. Seems so long ago doesn't it? I graduated from UMASS Amherst in 1981 with a degree in Physical Education. Couldn't find a job so I subbed at Tewksbury High school for a couple of years. Then I got hired at Raytheon. Worked there for 9 years until the Gulf War ended. Got layed off. Was sad at the time but am now extremely grateful. I would still be there. While I was there, and even after I got layed off, I worked at Giordano's Starlite Dinner Theatre in Georgetown, Mass for 13 years. Did roughly 80 shows. Worked as an actor most of the time but also directed, built sets, stage managed, and for a few years, handled the theatre publicity. What an experience. Then, as all of you New Englanders remember, the winter of 1995 into 1996 hit. 120 inches of snow with storms that went from Thankgiving thru the second week of April. A couple of friends of mine, Janet Krajeski and Joe Paquette, came to see me in a show during the summer of 1995. They told me that they were moving to California. They said that if I ever felt like moving to CA, they would put me up until I found a place. I had vacationed in CA 3 times ...Expand for more
previous and really like it. I thought about it and then went about my business. Then THAT winter struck. I called Janet and Joe and told them I was coming. So, the August of 1996, I packed up my car and left Methuen. Stayed with Janet and Joe for a couple of weeks, in Venice CA and then found my own place in Studio City. 11 years later.......I am in North Hollywood and working pretty steady as a stand-in on sitcoms and in the accounting dept of Empire/CLS limousine company. (Went to my 25th high school reunion in 2001. Had a ball. Didn't want it to end. It was really great to see everyone.)
Awesome! Working on the sitcom, "Stacked". Standing in for Christopher Lloyd every week. Got my first on screen part last week. Should air in December sometime. I now work on "How I Met Your Mother" as a stand-in for Neil Patrick Harris and as "Mike" the camera guy.
Workplace
Working on the sitcom, "How I Met Your Mother". It was the last day of shooting today, 11/09/07, because of the Writers Strike. Sad to shut down for a while but hoping that the writers get what they want. Look forward to going back soon.
Writers strike is over. Went back to work February 26th. Nice to see everyone. We end on May 9th. Watch the show everyone! It's really a great show. Can't beat the acting and the writing.
Got my 4th part on " How I Met Your Mother". It airs 12/14/2009. I play "Mike" the cameraman. Hope ya watch!
Have now had 7 parts as "Mike" the cameraman on "How I Met Your Mother." Lovin the biz!!!!!
