Ron's Story
Life
After graduating in 75Â I served in the Air Force from 77-81. Most of the time was down in Del Rio and Lubbock, Texas, with 6 months each in Wichita, Kansas; Rapid City, South Dakota; and Minot, North Dakota. After spending the summers in south Texas and the winters in North and South Dakota, I will not complain abut the Indiana weather. While serving I became a Christian, and was active with the Navigators ministries at different bases, and with the local churches singles groups I was fortunate enough to meet.
After the Air Force I went back to school, first at the University of Indianapolis (Indiana Central University) and later IUPUI. Finally graduating in 95 with degree in Computer Technology from Purdue (and it only took 20 years). I have worked as a computer programmer in Indianapolis. Currently I am a technical lead at a company in Carmel Indiana.
On Labor Day weekend of 89 I met Nancy, a petite 23 year old Christian teacher from the small farming community of Sheridan. I purposed on Valentines Day 90 and we were married June 30, 1990. We have three children, two boys (92, 94) and a girl (98).
We spent the first few years together on the west side of Indianapolis. I worked full time and went to school while Nancy taught and raised our two sons After graduating we purchased the small farm where Nancy's grandfather grew up. We spent 95 renovating the farm house. However, in Oct. we lost it to arson. We rebuilt and in the fall of 96 we moved back to NancyÂs community.
We are active with the school board, Boone County 4H, Sheridan youth soccer and Kirklin Christian Church, and spend most our time running the kids around to their activities. During Christmas, our house become a bit of a local site as we put up several thousand lights synchronized to music. We ha...Expand for more

College
I attended IUPUI right after graduation (1975 - 1977), but left school to go into the Air Force. Most my college was done after serving in the Air Force. I attended the University of Indianapolis (ICU) from 1983 to 1988 and later IUPUI from 1989 to 1995. My majors were in Computer Technology and Psychology. After marrying Nancy I was able to focus in on my studies. With Nancy's support and encouragement I was able to work full time, take 9 to 12 hours a semester, and have our two sons. In 1995 I completed the require courses and graduated with a degree from Purdue.
Workplace
After the Air Force, I worked as in electronic for Wavetek in Beach Grove, and RELM Communications in Lawrence. After getting my degree from Purdue in 1995, I started working as a Computer Programmer at Meridian Insurance, reMember Data Services, Best Access Systems and finally at ADESA Corporation in Carmel. In these positions I have picked up Visual Basic, Power Builder, C++, .Net, Java, ASP, and SQL. My current position is Team Lead at ADESA.
Military
After basic I went to Tech school (Avionics Navigation Systems Specialist) at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. After that I was stationed at Laughlin AFB Del Rio, Texas. During that time I became a christian through the ministry of the Navigators. Spent many weekends playing soccer and fellowship. Attended Christ Bible Fellowship (CBF) while stationed in Del Rio.
Spent 6 months each (TDY) at McConnel AFB in Wichita Kansas, Elsworth AFB in South Dakota and Minot AFB Minot North Dakota. Attended CountrySide Christian Church while in Wichita. Elsworth and Minot was to cold to get off base much.
My final station was at Reese AFB Lubbock, Texas.
