Ron's Story
Life
Dated a girl (Gig) from high school for 5 years, bad car accident in 1977, tried various different deadend jobs, married that girl in spring of 1980, 1st son born in summer of 1981 (Curtis), made a career for myself in computing, traveled a fair bit in North America in the 80's/90's because of work, did some neat stuff with the 1988 Olympics, coached,administered,refereed,organised and played some hockey, second son born in 1993(Colin), several back surgeries in the mid 90's, lost a marriage, unfortunately now on permanent LTD since mid 1999, Now I just take each day one day a...Expand for more

College
Tried the post secondary thing for a term, not my bag, more of a self taught kind of individual. Dug computers and had a very successful run. Took advantage of courses through my employer; locally as well as out of province/country. Enjoyed teaching others the knowledge/experience I aquired.
Workplace
Did Income Tax and accounting. painted, wharehoused, pumped gas, cut lawns, sorted mail, took care of a city park, drove a truck..... dead end jobs for 5 years. Saw that computers were the new wave and jumped on the band wagon in 1980. Never looked back!
