Life
I continue to work with my photography. Over the past 4 years two of my photographs have won special merit awards from The International Society of Photographers. Three have been published and another two have appeared in calenders. I am a grandfather to three lovely girls.
My wife practises phychriatry from her own office downtown.
Sometime this fall I am scheduled for three surgeries all for joint replacements. This should give me the ability to get back into the wilderness to continue taking pictures of nature.
I am now retired, it started about 15 years ago. I have a depression which no medication has any effect. I am living comfortably. I am taking a course over the internet from Jersulem on Hebrew. This is my wifes backround. We hope to visit Isreal next summer. I currently have 4 grandchildren with another showing up around Christmas time. I do lots of reading and am active with my computers.
This past year Faye and I took a cruise to Alaska, one of the events that I have wanted to do for a long time. The trip did not disappoint. We saw humpback whales feeding and how they go about rou...Expand for more
nding their meals. We also got a chance of a few of the whales breaching.
One afternoon while we were looking at glaciers we heard the loudest crack and about 5 seconds later a huge piece of glacier broke off the main glacier. It created a half decent surname. Even though we were in a large ship it rocked quite a bit. The crew manage to use their crane to bring a large chunck of glacier on board. It was at least three feet thick but you could see through it cleaner than a pane of glass. We also sent a couple of days watching eagles. We have one photograph with at least 8 eagles in the frame.
The programming of the cruise lines (Walt Disney) was incredible. Time went by so quickly. We saw an old mine entrance, the mine was so long (150 miles long) There were plenty of places to shop as well.. There was only one day that we needed to wear jackets.I don't want to boar anyone with other things we experienced. My wife and I are planning another trip to Alaska.
Faye took a position with the Canadian Forces base as a psychiatrist. When we get things straightened away here we plan to make Brandon our new home.
