Rona's Story
My first job after graduating from the U of Iowa was in Manitoba, Canada, where I stayed until 1979. From there I went west to Vancouver, British Columbia, where I eventually married my husband. After he finished his engineering degree we started off on the construction trail! We have lived in California (the Bay area and San Diego), Washington (Seattle, Kent, Vancouver and now La Center) and Hawaii (Kailua).
Our son is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and now lives in Seattle; our daughter will graduate in spring 2009 from Purdue University in W. Lafayette, IN. She is competing in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, and the rest of us are going to watch! (She throws the javelin in track and field; event times are Aug. 19 and 21!)

en empty nesters, Bruce and I have built our home and now live on 20 acres with two dogs, two cats and two horses. We try to ride every weekend in spring, summer and fall, and for me this has been a dream come true. I always loved horses and as a little girl thought I should marry a farmer. Little did Iknow how that would all turn out!
One thing that I have been involved in consistently since we moved to Hawaii in 1993 has been Bible Study Fellowship. Its effect on me and my family has been life-changing, and if anyone is curious to know more, I can be of help! There is also way more to this part of my story, but you'll have to ask for more details.
