Ronald's Story
Life
My wife, Laura, our son, David, and I live in Wilmington, NC... returning "home" upon retirement from International Paper in Augusta, GA... can't get the saltwater out of our veins! We have many precious memories in Wilmington as all of us were born and raised in the "Port City"... most of our families are here as well.
Update: Separated, "All good things come to an end." - Nelly Furtado. My son, David, is a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill... Go Heels!
Workplace
I retired in September 1999 from Internat...Expand for more
ional Paper as Division Controller of the Lumber Operations Group. At last call, my responsibilities were for the accounting and administration of 18 manufacturing facilities in 9 southeastern states. My career included Riegel Paper, Federal Paper Board, and International Paper... company transition through acquisition and merger with a span of over 30 years.
I miss the people, the job satisfaction, but not the stress and strain. I'm thoroughly enjoying retirement... quality time with family and friends.
