I am happily retired and living in Paris, France, with my partner/husband of 55 years, Dr. Kenneth L. Rider. After the 2016 elections, we sold our house in California and moved to Paris because of T. Rump, though we had long planned to live here at some point. We are fully integrated into the excellent French medical system and are receiving great care. We have long been familiar with Paris and with our neighborhood, Montparnasse, so we feel very much at home here. Our French is good enough to allow us to communicate when we need to, since many people here speak little or no English. In February 2021, we moved from our old atelier to a brand-new apartment right next door. My latest photos are of me at galas at the Palais Garnier, the old Paris opera house, sponsored by the Friends of the Paris Opera, of which my husband and I are members. We survived the various lock downs and have each received the two Pfizer shots plus two boosters. The opera and museums have reopened, and the restaurants are now open.
