Ronald's Story
Ron Peterson Headed the investment banking firm of Three Arrows in suburban Washington, DC until joining Veritas Lex as a legal recruiter. He also served as a vice-president with firms such as Paine Webber and Prudential Securities, directed an institutional financial futures unit for Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC and held NASD security licenses. He co-chaired the Editorial Committee for the Bio Advisory Council of Maryland TEDCO, sat on a graduate education advisory committee for the University of Maryland, heads the advisory group for an early-stage life-sciences venture capital group (Hopkins Capital), was a member of the NIH Business Development Group, been granted one patent in electronics and hosted an investment radio show in Washington, DC for five years. He has also sold, managed the acquisition for or prepared public offerings with the SEC for many different types of companies. He has lectured on business topics at the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, George Mason University, the University of Arizona (OLLI) and Johns Hopkins University as well as before the World Bank, national banks and corporations, the NIH, etc., and won two derivative trading contests. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of Minnesota, an MS in Biotechnology Studies and an MS in Management from the University of Maryland, MBA studies at George Washington University, and earned graduate certificates in: Defense Economics from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces; Clinical Pharmacology from NIH; and both Public Relations and Energy from the University of Maryland. He completed the Merrill Lynch government securities school and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange derivatives school as well as professional work in the Pentagon in intelligence, program & budget, and logistics.
