Ronald's Story
Life
My Spouse
At a Denny's Restaurant over breakfast in Jackson, Michigan. She was coming off working the graveyard shift and I was there with my parents who were visiting me for the weekend.
My Pets
Love animals but don't own any. I feed the animals in my backyard though.
My Kids
John turned 23 in April and is very bossy of his brother and loves to assert himself within the family. He will pick a fight at a moments notice with the other family members, but then turn around and ask them for advise or suggestions. He is very aloof and acts like the world revolves around him, but can be hurt very easily by comments from others.
James is 22 and is over 6'4". He is very outgoing and enjoys being around other people. He is always willing to try or do new things, and is fun to be around. He will hold his own against his brother, but you can see that he is sometimes overshadowed by him.
Both are great kids, but nothing in either my wife's or mine background could ever prepare us for handling teenagers. They are great if you deal with them on their terms, but a nightmare if you have to assert your parential authority, especially in the area of school and church.
My Job
I work in a federal government facility as a nuclear material control program manager. I am the liason between facilties handling material and the Safeguards & Security Department of the site that I work at, and interface with various other divisions and government agencies.
There are days were it can stress you out and there are days were it is really fun and enjoyable. It all depends on what is going on at the same time. One of the best aspects of the job is I work only 4 days a week, but 9 hours a day and have alternate Fridays off.

re a treat to work with. They have to be, otherwise we would all go crazy.
School
The longer I've been out of school the more I appreciate what Kinnelon High School and my friends did for me to make me the way I am today. I've always regretted that I didn't get more involved than I did while in school and that after I graduated, I basically turned my back on the school and totally lost touch with all the friends I did have in school until about 4 years ago.
What's really funny is I have always felt closer to my elementary school friends from Butler than my high school friends from Kinnelon and Riverdale. That is evident in that I keep up an e-mail correspondence with about a dozen friends from Butler, but only about two or three from Kinnelon.
When both the Butler High School and Kinnelon High School Classes of '69 had their 35th Reunion in November 2005, I went to the Butler one because it fell on Thansksgiving weekend, and I was going to be up in New Jersey any way. I am really looking forward to next year when both have their 40th Reunion, and the Kinnelon one is suppose to be in Florida.
College
When I walked across the campus for the first time in September 1969, I was in total awe of what was in front of me. I had no idea what the next four years were going to bring, but in a way they were the best years of my life. I broke out of my shell and the real inner me emerged, much to the chagrin of my high school girlfriend.
Some of my best friends I got to know while I was in college and also some of the most interesting ones too. I really miss what I had back then and never realized it until years later. I've have always had a soft spot in my heart for my school, even though there have been days when I could kick the college in the butt for some of the stuff that happened, both back then and currently.
