Ronald's Story
I joined the Air Force after graduation and was stationed around the world. First assignment was in Michigan for 4 years where I met my first wife; we had two children, a daughter and a son. I went to Japan for three years, came there to the Florida panhandle for four years, and then off to Viet Nam. I went to North Carolina for 7 years, next stop was south Florida at Homestead for 2 yrs, and then to South Korea from there I went to San Antonio for 13 months. I went back to Korea where I met my current wife.
From Korea I moved to Fort Walton Beach Florida for my last Air Force assignment. I retired from the Air Force in 1984.
I took a year off and traveled some and spent time with my family in Michigan and Indiana.

rs I spent in federal service. I retired the second time in 2004 and now I work a couple days a week as cashier in my wife's restaurant.
My son and daughter live in Michigan north of Detroit. I have three grand children.
Met and made many friends in my travel with the Air Force. It was a good life and I enjoyed my time in the service and retirement on the Emerald Coast of Florida.
I am able to spend lots of time in the spring and summer with my kids and grand kids in Michigan and family in Indiana. Only visit in the spring and summer, the last time I was north at Christmas time was in 1978, too much cold and snow for me.
I try to visit the South Bend area when I am in Indiana. Adams sure has grown, SB has changed a lot and Granger is unbelievable. Of course The Oriole Cafe, my folks restaurant across from Adams is long gone.
