Ronald's Story
Life
Let's see, after high school, I worked at several fairly meaningless jobs up until 1983 when I enrolled at the UH-Downtown in pre-med. I got accepted to and attended Texas A&M College of Medicine from 1986 to 1990. From there I went to New Orleans, LA for psychiatry internship and residency training at LSU. After 3 years, I met Stephanie, and ~ a year later we married. Upon completing this program, we moved on to Tampa, Florida for a 2 year fellowship in child psychiatry. Patrick Joseph, our oldest son was born in Tampa, 5/19/95.
In July of 1996, with no more training required, I moved back to Mandeville, Louisiana for a 3 yr stent at the State psychiatric hospital there. The last 2 years , I was named director of children's services. John Stephen, our youngest boy, was born in Mandeville, LA on 4/21/97. After getting fed up with fighting city hall, I moved to North Dakota to try private /group practice. Let's just call that a monentary lapse of reason that lasted 3 long and frozen years.

lps to explain why my schedule was always soo booked up. I would hunt and fish with my boys, whenever I could get away from the office, which was never enough. We bought a boat a several years back & three 4-wheelers. For those who don't know, these are essentially required staples in Arkansas.
In 2015, we left Pine Bluff, for Searcy, Arkansas where I now run a different system of care that includes training further psychiatrists. My boys are 27 and 25 years old and much like me when I was their age, they are into everything. My youngest loves cars, hunting and fishing and is a Design Engineer. He married Madelynn a few years back and ahe is finishing her Occupational Therapy training. His older brother is in Computer Science having completed his Master’s Degree. He is into gaming and metal work. The boys have been on the floats in Mardi Gras With their old man in the Krewe of Mid City in New Orleans a few times. They loved it and are trying to talk us into letting them do it again.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I can honestly say that in 1978 when we graduated from Madison High School, I never imagined that my life would turn out this way. I hope that life has turn out well for you as well. Look forward to hearing from you.
