When asked in 1966, just prior to graduation by Mrs. Gertrude Weil, GO teacher in charge, I said I wanted to be flying around the world with TWA. Why TWA, because they were an international carrier and I wanted to see the world. I did not work for TWA, but for Chemical Bank, as a secretary. I was so proud of the fact that I aced the steno test (was on Honor Roll throughout my years at Central), and I thanked all my teachers in my head, since I could not reach many of them anyway! I stayed true to Chemical for 33 1/2 years at which time I had become an Assistant Vice President. My Department, Lien Perfection, was whisked off to Houston, Tx., because it was much more cost effective. Unfortunately, my former husband was not liking the idea of Texas, and thus my life took a decided turn for the best! I was given a 2-year pay-out package, a Grant toward my continuing education and unemployment.
