Rosalva's Story
Life
I have wonderful memories of growing up in Nogales. Lincoln Elementary School with its beautiful trees that gave us the autumn leaves to jump on in the fall. The school that had its own candy store practically on the grounds and where I had my first job selling candy at lunchtime. Today CPS would probably be called for enticing kids with candy! Or is it still there? Wade Carpenter Junior High - I remember the talent shows and Mr. Bachelor. Nogales High School - home of the Apaches. I'm glad that the mascot has not been changed in order to satisfy the politically correct police. Go Apaches!

. Ebie and I have been married for 27 years. I have two beautiful children Omid and Maya. Omid just graduated from the U of A with a degree in Economics and is a great soccer player. Maya is in middle school - she is a great student and a great soccer player as well.
I live in Tucson and get to see many friends from Nogales. I credit my mother and father for always reminding me that I could achieve anything I set out to do. And my teachers for opening the doors of possibility for a poor small town girl like me. I'll always remember Ms. Doris Siebold, who was a woman ahead of her time, she took the time to help me become a confident student and young woman.
