Rosemarie's Story
I've always wondered about different friends from Mt. Vernon, and where their paths took them. I lost touch after moving upstate to Albany where I finished 11th and 12th grade. There was another student, a boy, that I would run into in the halls at Albany High that also moved up from Mt. Vernon. I never knew his name. Every time I passed him he would say, "Hey, Mt. Vernon!" What a coincidence that was!
Moving away has made me very curious about all the people I missed. Where are you all? Where have I been? After HS I went to a community college to become an RN. After working in nursing for years, I went to SUNY at Albany evenings, where I got my BA. I worked in the University's Student Health Center for years, also. I now work for the Dept of Health and am not in clinical nursing anymore. In the course of those years, I got married, divorced and had 3 daughters (not necessarily in that order)! My daughters are all grown and live nearby. Now is time for a new season of life.
When I was in Mt.Vernon, I lived on Locust St. in Fleetwood with my mother and my brother John. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers us, and would like to say hello!
