l that lived on a farm brought bread to school that had fruit preserves baked inside. I remember the name of a boy, Dewy Lee Shepherd Jr. and I think he went to the Methodist Sunday School I moved to California before I finished my 5th Grade year. One day we had a holiday because the Queen and King of England came to Washington DC to visit. One teacher's husband played the xylophone with the DC symphony orchestra in "The Flight of the Bumble Bee" I'm not sure if I went to hear him. I do remember going to the Washington Monument Easter Sunday sunrise service when Marian Anderson sang and my mother cried. Peace
