Roxann's Story
Life
The pressure of writing a bio that would cover my life this far in 5000 characters or less. We will start w/the time after WHS. After graduating HS I went to CLC for 3 year. Learned some stuff, met some cool people and graduated. Then I went to NIU for 3 years. Learned some stuff, met some great people and graduated w/a BA in psych. Worked for a while and went to school part time. Went to COD graduated w/an AAS in Addictions Counseling. Got a CADC and continued to work FT and go to school PT. Decided to go to grad school. ll along meeting some amazing people along the way. Now I can claim working in the field of Addictions and Mental Health for almost 14 years. I am working on becoming licensed which I hope to achieve within the next year. I have 2 dogs, a house in the suburbs and my hertosexual life partner to share. I know, down right domestic. I was diagnosed with breast cancer (10/2007) and had to undergo a bilateral mastectomy. I hope soon to be a breast cancer survivor. It has winded me for now, but I still gotta a lot more life in me. It has been an amazing ride and I'm not done yet.
