My life so far..... I met my husband Bruce Rooen in the summer of 1980 crusin' Woodward. He was from the class of 79. We married June 18, 1983. We lived in Royal Oak for 20 years before moving to Oxford in 2002. We had alot of fun together for 5 years just partying and enjoying ourselves. We both love cars so that was a big part of our fun. We loved drag racing together. I had a Smokey and the Bandit 77 Trans Am, and a 78 Camaro. Bruce had a 67 Chevelle Malibu (barely street legal) and a 72 Z28 Camaro. We just sold that 3 years ago. We used to go drag racing together at Detroit Dragway and in Canada. I actually took first place once at Detroit. That was awesome. Guys are such babies when they get beat by a girl. Then we decided that we wanted to start a family, so Natalie arrived in 1988. Followed by Rebecca (Beckie) in 1993, then Kevin in 1997. We are still having fun together. We still act like teenagers which totally grosses out the kids!!!! haha. I am still best buddies with Francie Giordano. Her husband Don is my husbands best friend since they were kids. During my 20 years living in Royal Oak I cared for my mom, who was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 1984. Lost my mom in 1993. During that time my dad and I became really close. He was my best friend. Dad had his first stroke in 1996. My dad lived with us for a few years and I cared for him. Lost dad in 2003. Two days before I turned 40.
