Roy's Story
Life
Retired from Air Force in 1975, now living "back home" in El Dorado, AR. Survived tour of duty at Bien Hoa, Vietnam in 1971, not as a young guy, but as a 33yr old..moved around in NAM to Cam Rhan Bay, DaNang, Ton Son Nhut, Long Binh Army Post and some jungle locations that their name escapes me. Old age, ya know! A great tour at Itazuke AB, Japan, in the 35th TFS during 1956-1960. Lucky enough to return to Itazuke Base,Japan, 1966-1969, and was the Base Suggestion Administrator and an avid Skeet Shooter during that period. Looking for all 1957 El Dorado HS graduates or students that might not have graduated but would have graduated in 1957. I'm allowed 4000 characters?????? I have not even spoken 4000 characters this year!! :-) Wish I had the High School days to do over again. Would try to be less timid and more outgoing.
College
What can one say about college?? It is there for your learning.....so learn to the best of your ability.
Workplace
Retired and enjoying the "Life of Riley".....You should only "work" at a profession that you enjoy.
Military
Military service gives you a proper perspective about the value of being an American. Traveling to other countries is informative, but the largest value of traveling to other countries is that you will definately value being born and being a citizen of the greatest country on earth.....the United States of America!
Up date. I lost my wife of 56 years last Sep on 9-11-2013 Now that date has a double whammy for me. Now living alone and don't like it.
