Roy's Story
I attended Edison Jr. High and Central High School in San Angelo, where I played football for Emory Bellard, until I messed up my knee in a game with Lakeview. I was a math whiz, too, but fortunately, didn't mess up my brain.
I left San Angelo January 1963 and joined the USAF because of issues with my stepdad. Met my wonderful wife Toni while stationed at Aviano, Italy. Got married and lived there for 4 more years in Rome after leaving the military. I speak, read and write Italian fluently. Came back to the U.S. in 1972 and completed technical school and college.(Thanks to Uncle Sam and the G.I. Bill!) I worked as a radiologic tec...Expand for more
hnologist, then taught college for 11 years in St. Louis. We moved to Atlanta in 1988 and I changed careers to Information Technology, working for a company called HBOC (now McKesson). In 2000, I had an opportunity to join an internet start-up called ForestExpress (now Liaison Technologies) and my career really took off. I am retired now, but still consult part-time. Toni has retired from Lucent Technologies, where she was a senior manager, and we now travel a lot. We live near Atlanta, but we also have a home in Italy that we visit frequently. I'd like to contact my old friends and classmates from Central High and Edison Jr. High.
