Roy's Story
It all started in 1945, Italy's Mussolini was killed and I was born, that 28th of April, In Manhattan's Lutheran Hospital. I stayed with my mom, sister and grandparents in the Bronx, on Decatur Ave. We stayed there for a few weeks then went to Erie, Pa. A short time later we moved to Delaware Ave in Glenshaw. Pa. 10 years later we moved to Blairsville, Pa. Then another 10 years we moved to Mass. Married my high school Sweet Heart, on my 28th birthday.
After High School graduation I went to Thiel Collage for 3 semesters. I left due to low academic standing. Worked a few years. Moved to Mass with my parents. Worked a bit and decided I hated the work I was doing and went back to school. Graduated from Roger Wms Jr College and then continued on to the brand new Roger Wms. College on the shores of the Mount Hope Bay. In 1970 I graduated (the first class to graduate from the new collage) with a degree in psychology.

ation open in the Slatersville, RI area. I worked at Wrentham State School for a few year, a group home for mentally challenged adult males from Bridgewater State Hospital, a group home for 4 mentally challenged women, and finally a group home for 4 mentally challenged person who were also deaf. My wife and I moved to Md where we worked a few years for Deaf Referral Service. Worked there for a few years, then switched jobs to work where I finally retired from 22 years later.
In August of '75 my first son Joshua was born. At 22 months we learned that Josh has a profound hearing loss. I went to The Learning Center for the Deaf in Framingham, Ma. After our move he attended Md School for The Deaf. And continued on to NTID in Rochester NY. I was there for a little over 2 years.
He is an Eagle Scout, and a baker at a gourmet caterer.
In January of'77 our second son Erin was born. He graduate from the University of Md with a double major, Logistics and Business and Finance. He owns a condo in Columbia Md that he is renting out and a Townhouse in German-town, Md., were he now lives.
