Rozanne's Story
Life
I happily gave up practicing law 15 years ago to concetrate on my music career, forestalled by college, marriage and law school. I've worked in musical theater, cabaret, done theater and classical vocal coaching, been a solo accompanist for classical and popular singers and instrumentalists; musically directed a major fundraiser at NJPAC involving the legal community; and more. My husband Lee Zimet and I are restoring a circa 1730-80 home in northern New Jersey where we've lived since 2001. We share our lives with a miniature dachshund and five spoiled cats. We have an active social life maintained...Expand for more
with many good friends. We enjoy hiking with our dog, opera and theater, entertaining at home, and antiquing. This spring I conducted a 13 -piece orchestra in a production of Leonard Bernstein's "On the Town" here in NJ. I am working now as musical director for the New Jersey Law Journal's second "Celebration of Lawyers in the Arts" at NJPAC to benefit Volunteer Lawyers in the Arts/NJ; M/D'ing a one woman show "Wedding Belles" that is in workshop in NYC; and doing voice coaching. I am also Director of Music at the Saddle River Reformed Church. I will never go back to practicing law! Life is very good.
