hi i'm ruby zeigler-belcher i went to lewis elementary in birmingham.al,i also attended carver high in north birmingham..i still reside in birmingham...i've had and still have a wonderful life..didn't have the finer things growing up but i did work as a young girl washing my neighbors dishes at age 6 because my older sister taught me how to clean up a kitchen...i washed all appliances until they were shining and mopped the floor afterward leaving a great impression on my customers,, with the money i made, i learned to save until i had enough money to buy the shoes that my parents couldn't afford to buy me...i loved my parents...we always had a place to stay,food on the table, clothes to wear....i thank god for my sanctified mom....her prayers i know saved our lives... my dad always told us to do what inez told us to do...he really didn't have to tell us because we already knew not to mess with mother..she was sweet as candy but she meant business...her look scared us more than the belt...i miss my mother..i miss my dad too...today as i write is my fathers' day of his passing.april 29th 1992...my dad always let me drive his car....i was his baby girl..charles was the baby boy..he got away with more things than i did,because he was the baby...our last name is zeigler,like the sausage,bacon,hot dogs etc..there was this big red white and blue truck that had the three pigs on it...of course it was us...because a song came with the pigs..the song went like this...Z-E-I-G-L-E-R,THAT'S THE NAME WE'RE CALLING FOR...AND THIS COMMERCIAL CAME ON EVERY DAY AND THE KIDS SANGED THE SONG EVERY MORNING...SO YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH FOR 12 YEARS (SMILE)ON TV AND OFF TV...MY GRAND MOTHER DOLLIE WAS MY DAD'S MOM..I LOVED HER SO MUCH...WHEN SHE VISITED, SHE WOULD STAY TWO WEEKS..BOY DID SHE LOVE TO ANSWER THE PHONE...WE DIDN'T KNOW OUR FRIENDS WERE CALLING UNTIL THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL...I FOUND OUT SHE WAS ...Expand for more
