Rudell's Story
LATEST NEWS! I published my first children's book, Just Like Brothers...In the Beginning, the first in a series. The second book, Just Like Brothers...Summer Adventures, is also in print now, as is the Just Like Sisters...In the Beginning book which is about the 2 little sisters of the boys in the other 2 books. All 3 are available on Amazon or you can visit my website RudellKopp-kidsbooks.net if you want to see more photos & learn more about my books, etc. My husband Gerald and I moved to Atlantic Beach, Florida (outside Jacksonville) from Kissimmee, FL in Dec. 2003 to be close to our son Christopher and his family. Danielle (now 10) & Donovan (almost 7) are both smart, sweet, and lots of fun (who me, prejudiced?!) We are all doing great and enjoy living within walking distance of the beach. I went back to college in the '90s to finally complete my BA started at the U of MD after high school and have been teaching art in private schools since graduating in 2000 (I'm semi-retired now & just teach in the after-school programs and at my home). es and shows. Our son Chris is a physical therapist at Premier Physical Therapy in Jax (he's part owner), and has taught parttime at the local community college. His wife Heather graduated from UNF in May '06 and has been teaching HS English for 6 years. My husband was Manager of Quality Assurance for an engineering firm outside of Jax, but they were purchased by an int'l corp. and closed the doors on the FL location in Sept. 2009, so now he's working as a quality auditor for an aviation/mfgr. corp. since its difficult finding another comparable job as a QA Mgr in Jax. (he's six years younger, so retirement is not an option quite yet). We love to travel...this year was a driving trip to Boston, Maine, and Canada's 3 Atlantic provinces and last year we went to South Africa. At the top of my bucket list after he retires is New Zealand/Australia! Since he's from E. Montana, we travel out west every few years and love the mountains of CO & WY. I'd love to hear from anyone from the past (Sue Ellen and I are still in close touch, even though I don't live down the street from her anymore in Kissimmee!).
