y young age. At one time I would read two books a day easily. I especially love history, government and religion. My first job was a paper route to help support the family. I then moved on to be a carry out at a local grocery store. After that I moved on to work at a convenience store for eleven years. I worked my way up to assistant manager before moving on to management in other sales positions. I have worked in retail sales for over twenty years. I enjoy working with people. One of my favorite hobbies is genealogy. I have spent an unknown amount of hours researching my family and my wife's family history. I especially enjoy walking through graveyards looking for headstones of family members. We have been known to walk entire graveyards looking at every single headstone for hours. I like to write and hope to someday become a published author. I want to write about old times and my experiences growing up. I'm working towards being more environmentally conscious. We have made small steps but plan to make huge steps once we move to a new home. One of my goals is to be totally off the grid. I want solar power, wind power. I want to collect rainwater. I want to grow a good majority of my own food. I want fruit trees, grapes, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc. I want to raise honeybees and possibly chickens for eggs. I also enjoy craft festivals, flea markets, and antique shows. My favorite color is blue although it used to be green when I was a child. My favorite food is everything! LOL! I especially like mexican and old southern cooking like the old days. Beans, cornbread and fried potatoes with buttermilk type food. However, I need to quit eating it. I love to cook.".
