Russell's Story

Life I am not exactly where I thought I would be. I envisioned myself in a log cabin, living a hermits life in the canyons behind Rocky Top. There was no way I was getting married because I did not see too many good relationships around me. But....that changes. I met a lady at the 4th of July at the beer gardens back in 1980. We were both working there. She was supposed to be showing the Jaycees how to make corndogs. I married her the same year in march. Still married and happy about that. We bought a place up here on Rodgers Mountain...Expand for more
after trying to live in Salem for a year. I worked as a carpenter for a while and that kind of slowed down so I went back to the mills. Along the way I found Christ and became a christian. Still human but now I know where I am going when I die. That is the biggest and most important event of my life. I go to the Scio Baptist Church. My oldest son started school at LinField College a month of so ago. Education and Music is his favorite. My youngest son is still in high school. Sophmore and also into music. It's been an interesting life.
