Russell's Story
Life
I was married to Nancy George for nearly 16 years. And now I am divorced and Nancy is living in Phoenix due to health reasons. I have been to Monterey, Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Oklahoma City, Ft. Worth, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Burbank, Hawaii, St.George, Mesquite, Las Vegas, I enjoy travel, art, golf, working with my e-mail, cooking and watching Oklahoma Sooner Football I have gray hair that is less noticeable and I do wear glasses I am still the same person.I also keep up with the stock market I work at the Hilton Hotel Salt Lake City Center where I was named August 2001 Pridemember of the Month I was also won it in August 2008 I work graveyard shift I have been with the hotel for 19 years. The hotel I work at is company owned a former Sheraton, Red Lion, Doubletree, a member of Promus Hotels and now a Hilton. This year I went on a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. My other travel spot is San Diego.
School
I have graduated from Cottonwood High since May 29,1981. I remember our class was in mourning just before Christmas recess when the studentbody was informed that Leslie Earle was killed on her way to school in a car accident. I remember ju...Expand for more
st 6 days before graduation another girl Sheri Rigby was killed in a car accident on my Mother's birthday. She was going to get married after high school. I remember our homecoming assembly that nearly got canceled because someone threw an egg and hit two of the varsity cheerleaders on stage. Cory Riddle our Studentbody President was nearly hit with a water balloon during graduation rehersal it missed him and hit the north wall above the stage door I was the last one to graduate from Cottonwood my 2 .other brothers Charlie graduated in 1977 and Bill graduated in 1979 Bill died March 12,2002 at age 41 from complications from pneumonia
Workplace
I work as a graveyard housekeeper at Hilton Hotel/Salt Lake City Center. That hotel started as a Sheraton, Red Lion, Doubletree, later it was a part of Promus Hotels and finally Hilton. I was named Pridemember of the Month for August 2001 and August 2008 I have been with the hotel for 21 years February 23. I now have been reassigned to the Morning Shift at the hotel working now from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm. I have been working all 3 shifts I am back to 3rd shift 11:00 pm til 7:30 am I made it through 20 years at the hotel.
