Russell's Story
Went to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brazil, Costa Rica to teach school. Met and married my wife of Costa Rica, Ana Cecilia Shubert. We have 2 children, boy and girl.And now have 5 grandchildren, 4 boys, 1 girl. Returned to San Diego in 1966 and taught school in Sweetwater High School District. Also coached basketball in Nicaragua and won National Champs in 1963. Coached football and soccer at Sweetwater High School and Hilltop High here in Chula ...Expand for more
Vista. We won CIF twice in football at Sweetwater and league champs 7 times. We won CIF twice in soccer at Hilltop High and league champs 4 times. Teacher of math, biology, P.E., and Drivers Educ. & Drivers Training. Retired in Jan 1999 and play some golf now. I also do some substitute teaching as well.
