Rusty's Story
Life
Went to school in Oklahoma for 3 yrs. Took a year and a half off and was a Park Ranger for Oregon State Parks. Went back to school in Portland. During that time I went on a mission trip to Africa and spent a semester abroad in Hawaii and 5 other countries on the Pacific Rim. Met the the most wonderful girl in the world. She grew up in Africa where her parents were missionaries. Got Married on May 29, 1999 and moved to Japan 2 months later. we traveled all over Asia. Also bumped into Sushi and his wife. Wished we could have spent more time together. 2002 we moved to Memphis, TN so I could go to grad school. We were in northern MS for 2 years where I work for a church as their youth minister. We returned to Japan in summer '05 as vocational missionaries. Our son was born on Feb 28, 2006. We moved back to Portland in summer '06 because my mom's health was failing. She passed away in Oct. 06. In the future we hope to work in Africa or perhaps return to Japan. Currently I'm working for Starbucks.
