Ruth's Story
Life
I married Sammie D. Barr on Dec. 21, 1962. We lived in
Taiwan for two years. Our son was born in 1965 and now lives in Maryland with our grandchildren. In 1972, we moved to Virginia. I completed (on the "20 year plan") my BS in education at George Mason University in 1983 and my MIS in Painting and Art Ed. at VCU in 1997. School
After leaving Armijo in 1959, I attended and graduated from Yuba City High School in 1961. I went to Highland School of Nursing and Mills College. After my father died, I attended Sioux Falls College. After I married, I attended University of Maryland, Central Missouri State, Oklahoma Baptist University, and George Mason U. BS from GMU & MIS in Art from Virginia Commonwealth U.
