Ruth's Story
After graduation from WGH in 1962, remained there as a clinical instructor until attending college for a year. Returned to WGH and worked in the ICU and as a clinical instructor. Went on to Stamford, CT, to work in the ICU and take an advanced EKG course. In the late sixties moved to Philadelphia and held jobs in critical care at 3 different hospitals. he heart of the "West Philly Knife & Gun Club". Liked that job the best. Very interesting and challenging. After 25 years or so in Philly decided to move to sunny FL in 1992. Worked in ER, home care, out-pt. surgery centers, and hospital recovery room. Became disabled in 2001 and had to stop working. Retired in 2007 when I became an official "old" person. Love FL and live in a 55+ manufactured home co-op with my 3 cats. 2 sisters live near here.
