Ruth's Story
School
I went to Mt. Mary college after high school studying Elementary Education where I promptly fell in love with my husband in Oct. 1971. We were married in 1973 and I got a job as a payroll clerk. We also managed apts. for awhile. Our oldest, Christopher was born 1974, Peter, 1975 and David 1977. I went back and got my teaching degree in 1993. I taught 2 yrs. with MPS and now am at Washington Mutual as an E-Care Specialist. As I look back, I wish I'd have joined more clubs and had more fun in HS. I love to crochet, read everything, and am involved in church activities. I have 5 granddaughters. My 7 yr old and I are close and spend lots of ...Expand for more
weekends together. I have contacted a couple of old friends through classmates and enjoy staying in touch. I really like email. I love vacations, movies, books, long talks with friends.
Workplace
I was in and out of what I always wanted to be when I grew up. I volunteered for every kind of youth work and finally returned to college at 36 to finish my teaching cred. I taught in an inner city school system for two years and changed careers. I am now working in my in-between job and have been for the last 5 years as a mortgage representative answering questions and complaints. I am on the hunt again for what I REALLY want to be when I grow up! :) Ruth
