Ruth's Story
Life
I am back living in the family home in Ayer. My sister Edith passed away almost 5 years ago. Also am starting another career of being a farmer. Have 4 horses, a bunch of goats, chickens, ducks, geese. It sure is a lot of work! I am still teaching swimming, a skill I learned when 18! So enjoy it and it goes along with my gift of teaching that I received from God.
My Kids
I have 4 beautiful children, oldest & youngest are daughters with 2 sons in the middle. Oldest is or nurse in McKinney Tx, (We lived in Garland, Texas for 15 years when I was married) #1 son is living in W. Groton Ma and is a personal trainer and teaches swimming at Swymfit in Boxboro Ma. , #2 son is a policeman in Colombus, Ohio. and younger daughter married her sweetheart since 5th grade and now lives in Lunenburg, Ma.
thank the Lord, I am pretty healthy. No major problems. I have been struggling with Lyme Disease. Was undiagnosed for at least 4 years. Still on antiibiotice now 4 years later. Hopefully I can get rid of it. Neeed to keep going to chiropracter to keep putting my back into alignment. Lifting 50 pound grain sacks can sure do a job!

ed to exercise more and may start going to line dancing again. Found out that is lots of fun! Challenging, but fun.
I took care of my sister, Edie for many years. We Edith had Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus and sadly a shunt did not help her. If you, or your parents start to have difficulty walking, don't assume "old age". Get a CT Scan to rule out NPH.
The most important part of my life was when I realized I had to make it personally, for me, the fact that Jesus had died on the cross for my sins. Religion offered me no answers when my father died in 1966. Going to church on Sundays, left me with no answers for the 'ultimate experience' in life...death. After taking a course in World Religions, I realized that religion should be not just a life experience, but should offer me hope in death. I wanted to know I would go to Heaven when I died, and now I do. I am still learning how to trust God that all the events in my life are for my benefit. But, knowing God has made the emotionally traumatic experiences, although still traumatic, not overwhelming. God's Blessings to you all. I pray that you will find salvation and peace with God. RUTH
