Ruth's Story
Life
Since graduating from Nyack College in 1992, I have worked and served in several different places. From 1992 to 1994, I worked for a building/supply company in doing their accounts receivables along with collections. During that time, I did the opening exercises for the my church`s primary dept. I was able to introduce the children to missions through stories and creative hands-on projects.
Then in June 1994, I went to serve at a mission to the Navajo Indians. The mission was located in New Mexico, a 1/2 mile from the Arizona border and the Navajo Reservation. I served there for 4 years as their bookkeeper. During that time, I acquired my dog, Brownee. She is an Australian Sheppard, which is something similar to a sheep herder type of dog. She is now 9 years old and has traveled with me to several countries where I have served.

ionary Associate with the C&MA and began serving in Quito, Ecuador. I did accounting at the Alliance Academy for 4 years. While there, I was involved in co-leading teens in a ministry at an orphange.
Jan 2003, I was transferred to Sao Paulo, Brazil after a 3 month furlough. While in Brazil, I was the bookkeeper for the C&MA field office. During that time I was in language study for 2 years learning portuguese, while working in the office. However, in Dec 2004, I returned to the States due to reaching my potential for language learning.
So, since Dec. I have been on furlough working through transitioning to the States. Also, praying for the next place where the Lord desires for me to serve. Which could be in a job or a place of ministry. I will give you an update when I know.
I am living in South Carolina with some friends along with my dog, Brownee.
