Ruthanne's Story
I am an Army brat- moved every couple years or less. I decided I wanted to be an artist when I was 5. I have a slew of siblings- also very creative. I'm very laid back in temperment and have a silly sense of humor. Someone once said that I'm smarter than I look. How's that for a backhanded compliment?!
I studied Fine Art in college and got a BFA in Metals/Jewelrymaking (did a lot of Ceramics too). I went to grad school in Texas and got my MFA in Metals/Jewelrymaking.

taught all kinds of classes to all ages and lots of different mediums. I worked at Hallmark Cards, Inc. for awhile- mostly digital work. It was fun for awhile, then I couldn't stand the cubicle life anymore. I've been teaching college & university courses in Art & Design since 2001.
These days I teach at Johnson County Community College and KU- Metals/Jewelry. I love it.
Working in the studio too, just not enough.
I have a terrible memory for names, but recognize faces. Sorry if I seem clueless at times.
