Ruthell's Story
Since our 50 year reunion I have retired from our RealEstate Company, Heritage Realty Group , in Morgan Hill. One of our Realtors took it over. We work for friends or family only.
We leased our home in Morgan Hill and moved to Columbia, California. Neat old fashioned town, where gold was first found. Bought and lived on top of a mountain 3,200 feet up. Our panoramic view was that of the town of Columbia and the night lights of Sacramento! Loved it for 5 years until we got tired of snow! During the years at Columbia, we retired the Uvas Creek Cellars. 21/2 hours to the Bay Area once every 2 weeks got to be too much like work, so we treated ourselves to REAL retirement.
When the snow got to us, we decided to move lower and nearer to my son, Eric. Actually his idea, he wanted Mom and Dad close...Expand for more
r so he could watch over us! Iol ! Funny how roles reverse as we age! Right? We now live about 30 minutes away from where we lived before. Now address is in Jamestown., California. Lake Don Pedro is in our back yard. Well, the puddle is right now. The rain of lately has really helped, still need 150 feet more! We had to move our house boat over to the other side of the lake, we were moored at Moccasin Point Marina, where it is now on land! Pray for rain!
Still very active, busier now than when I worked! We go to the Big Island at least twice a year as we have a couple of condos on the Kona side. We have considered moving there but so far we love traveling the US too much.
