Ryan's Story
Life
I left Kansas in October of 92 to begin a 6 year enlistment in the Air Force. It was an exciting career, including 2 assignments in Colorado Springs, 1 each in Texas and Mississippi, and a 16 month tour in Turkey. I separated from the Air Force in November of 98 and moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where I held small jobs as a ski lift operator, package handler for RPS, and security at Hershey Park concerts. at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill (which was nearly destroyed by several days of rioting while we were in high school, October of 89). In July of 2001 I moved back to Colorado to work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the US Penitentiary in Florence (not the infamous "Super-Max" but next door to it). I am still struggling through college all these years after graduation, but will soon have a degree in criminal justice. Best wishes to all of you.
