Sallie's Story
Life
My life is very blessed. My husband, Larry, and I are semi-retired, both working part-time. I do medical transcription from my home, and Larry works for Sportsman's Warehouse in the fishing department. We are active in our church, have lots of interactions with our kids and grandkids. I am very close with two of my three brothers, Joe Carson and Jim Carson, who are just the greatest brothers in the world. We are semi-active in conservative political issues, and are happy to be living on the "right" side of the state of Washington (east side). We had a wonderful time at our 50 year class reunion in the summer of 2004. So many terrific classmates.

ss, Oregon, at the beginning of my junior year, from Hood River, Oregon. The first day of school in Grants Pass, I met five friends - Alta Fenner, Pat Annis, Nicki Torgrimson, Joyce Jacobson and Kathy McGregor. They are good friends 53 years later, and I am blessed by them. I had a wonderful time in high school, and really would not change a thing, except I would have studied harder, and would have stayed in closer touch with a special boyfriend after he went off to college at Gonzaga University in Spokane. Grants Pass was a wonderful place, and growing up in the 1950s was the best time of all in the 20th century. No financial depression, war, student rebellions, no antiwar activism, no sexual "revolution." It was such a time of innocence, when kids were allowed to be "kids."
