Sally's Story
The thing I regret most about high school was that I wasn't allowed to be myself because I was brought up in a home where my father and mother were Jehovah's Witnesses and this limited me completely. I would have loved to join many groups, been exposed to a lot more people and made friends, than I was ever allowed to do based on my parents' religion. I always felt left out in school because I was the girl who couldn't go anywhere with the other kids, couldn't participate in regular activities, and really couldn't show my true personality. ...Expand for more
I left home and their religion as soon as possible after graduating by marrying for the first time. The marriage lasted for just 8 years, but he was from Wiley so what could you expect?..lol. Over the years my real personality has been allowed to come through and I wish my fellow classmates from the class of 1965 could have known the real me:) The only thing I managed to do while at Tech was to learn to lie to my parents so that I could sneak out and go with a couple of girlfriends to Dragon's to dance on Friday nights! That was a blast:)
