Sally's Story
After high school I lived in Atlanta, Boulder, Colorado, Chicago, Boulder again, then back to Asheville.
I owned Waechter's Silk Shop in Asheville for 25 years and sold it 2005. Moved to Northern California in 2006 then to San Diego where I live now with my husband, Michael Turcot.
Michael and I met in Asheville in 1977 before he moved to Texas to go to Journalism school at UT-Austin. We kept in touch for the last 3...Expand for more

I am a textile artist and own a fabric and vintage kimono business.
Michael is a lawyer and a investigative reporter for KUSI television. Michael also builds guitars (acoustic and electric), violins, cellos, Kutos, everything! We have two fabulous daughters.
San Diego is sunny and warm, but not as friendly as Asheville.
