Sally Rogers:  

Until he passed away in 2003, I was married for almost 40 years to Tex Rogers, a newspaper/magazine editor and publisher. I have two sons, Nick and Travis. Nick is a musician and freelance journalist and Travis is a bilingual pre-k and kindergarten teacher. Between them, I have five grandsons and a granddaughter, all of whom I do my best to spoil rotten. I worked primarily for my husband, first in layout and design, later as copy editor and columnist. I have also worked for Head Start, for a psychotherapist, for our county's senior citizens' program, and as a yoga teacher. At times, stressed and humorless from my work in Matters of Great Importance to the Community, I worked as a waitress and read nothing but Jackie Collins novels. I made more money as a waitress and learned more from Jackie Collins than I earned or learned in any of my other jobs. I'm currently retired. I like it because I can take a nap. At this time, I'm ambiguous regarding religious matters, and enjoy volunteer work, especially in the areas of homelessness and animal rescue.
