Sally's Story
I married my college sweetheart, Wally Stelzel, in 1963. He had just graduated from Xavier and received a commission in the Army upon graduation. We went off to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for our honeymoon. A couple of months later Wally entered flight school at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. He got his wings and we were off to Germany for two years. bama. Next came daughter, Susan, born in Germany. Last child, Michael, born in St. Louis, Mo. in 1970!
My best memories of school were from my time at Edgecliff, always known as OLC, or OUR LAST CHANCE.
Wally died of cancer in 1999 and I kept the house in Barrington Hills, Illinois. Our daughter and grandkids live in Sarasota, Florida so I enjoy winters there.
