U. S. 's Story
My life in a nutshell....graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) in 1965. Married Carolyn (Kitten) Quick in 1967 and we celebrated our 52nd anniversary this year.
I joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1991. Became an Electronics Engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992.
Retired from the FAA on 20 August 2005. Moved to Sun City, Georgetown, TX which is just a few miles north of Austin on 30 August, 2005. We are having a great time and I recommend Sun City, TX to anyone looking for "home." ngs that "I was going to do when I retired."
We have two sons, Michael, who is married to Callie and has a daughter, Anna Michelle, now 16. Michael has a PhD. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and lives in Austin, TX. Philip, our younger son, has his LL.D. from the University of Texas Law School and was married to his first wife,Stacy, until 2009. He is the 9th District State Judge of Texas in Conroe which is just north of Houston, TX. He and his first wife, Stacy, adopted three sisters, Katelyn (5), Ashlyn (4), and Faith (3) on December 17, 2007. Ergo, we had three instant granddaughters. Stacy moved with the girls to a home near us, so we get to see them often. They are absolutely beautiful and doing well. Updated 11/10/2019
