Sam's Story
Life
BS in chemical engineering from WVU.
MS and PhD in chemical engineering from Clemson University.
Worked at The Dow Chemical Company 24 years in Michigan- retired in 1990. Worked at 4 other companies - 2 as Vice-President, 1 as a Corporate Manager. Worked and/or lived in 10 states plus spent 2 years on Johnson Atoll, 850 miles southwest of Hawaii. Retired in 2003 to Wheeling to a house my grandfather had built over 100 years ago. ris, and I spent the summer of 2005 in Rome (stayed in an apartment about 3 blocks from the Vatican) where I took a couple courses in international law.In October, 2005, diagnosed with lymphoma and leukemia - spent 8 months in intensive chemotherapy. Returned to law school in fall term of 2006. Plan to finish in December of 2008.
We have 3 kids, John, Marc and Susan - all graduates of Michigan State University. All 3 live in Michigan. Each has one son - born in 2002, 2004 and 2007.
