Sam's Story
I went to school at birch creek school near Bone Idaho. My granddad had the store and post office at bone. My teacher was Ray Carney. His son Ray Carney was in my class. Ray's younger brother was in the school, I can't remember his name. Ray's sister was a student at the school. I think her name was Noma.

Portland, Oregon and worked in the shipyard at the age of 16. At the age of 17 I joined the Navy on Nov. 3rd, 1943.
While in the Navy I was trained as an Aviation Radioman and Flew as an Aviation Radioman, and Aerial Gunner on a Torpedo Bomber. It was a TBM Avenger. After the war I was discharged June 24th, 1945..
