Samee's Story
Whew! I'm definetely much further along than I ever thought I'd be.
After getting my nursing degree, I became a nurse in Trauma Intensive Care, and took care of some very seriously ill people on life support. I even had a short spot on "Trauma Life in the ER" when they came to Albuquerque.
Later, I took a job on a Lear jet flying crticially ill patients all over the country and into Canada... which is how I'm one of the few lucky folks who has obtained a passport! :)
Anyway, now I'm a clinical manager of 38 bed medical surgical unit in Santa Fe. I manage over 100 nurses, and nurse aids, and a ...Expand for more
few secretaries. I absolutely LOVE nursing leadership... although it can be very tough.
On the personal side, my husband and I have been married almost two years. It's a first marriage for both of us. He is a successful attorney in a medium sized firm in Albuqueruqe. We have three "children" the twins --kittens which will turn one year old this month, and the old cat Baggio who is now 12.
We make our home in New Mexico and love to camp, have BBQ's, and go to Isotopes baseball games (where we saw an old Carson hero Donovan Osborne pitch).
