Samuel's Story

Life After graduation from Hillcrest, I attended the University of Texas, Austin. I received a BBA in marketing in 1974. From 1974-76 I worked for federated Department Stores in Dallas. My parents and I established Asia House, an oriental art gallery at Old Town in the Village. In 1978, I accepted a position with Ashkenazie and Co. in San Francisco. In 1991, after 13 years with that firm, I founded my own Chinese art gallery, S. Bernstein and Company which is located in the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. am married to a beautiful Chinese woman and have a 20 year old son attending the University of California and a 7 year old boy who has way too much energy. My family live on top of hill with deer, skunks, raccoons, opposums lizards, and all kinds of birds. I enjoy wearing adventure clothing and a Stetson hat. Over the years I have travelled all over the world in search of great art and great food. I am satisfied with my life and sometimes think about my schools days. They were not particularly memorable. By the way, does anyone know what happened to Officer Barton, who used to patrol Hillcrest in his Dallas Police car? I wonder what happened to Mary Ann Ball?
